Greece offers the  Financially Independent Visa (FIV) to non EU nationals who are economically independent or self employed.

 

This relatively unknown program is one of the cheapest alternatives to the Greek golden visa scheme. It requires that the applicant shows only a relatively small amount of income, as opposed to the golden visa which necessitates that you purchase a property with a minimum value of €250,000 plus taxes.

Requirements

  • Certificate of no criminal record for the applicant by the relevant authorities of the country of origin

  • Medical certificate by a recognized public or private institution, proving that the applicant doesn’t suffer from a disease that can be considered dangerous to the public health

  • Evidence, such as bank and or social security, pension statements proving that you posses a minimum annual income of €24,000 Euros (additional funds, 20% for a spouse, 15% for each child)

  • Certificate that the applicant has applied for medical insurance that provides full coverage of medical care and expenses during your stay in Greece
